Description

This reading group aims at exploring how the perspective of the postcolonial scholarship could open up new approaches to philosophy of economics/economic methodology. Our endeavor is inspired by the vibrant discussion on the need, possibility and promise of decolonizing economics. Once a month we will read and meet online to discuss a selection of chapters from the edited volume titled "Postcolonialism Meets Economics" by S. Charusheela and Eiman Zein-Elabdin.

Session 2 – April 21, 4pm CET:
• Ch5: Economics and the postcolonial other by ANTONIO CALLARI
• Commentary: Economics as a colonial discourse of modernity by JOHN B. DAVIS
