The African Economic History Network (AEHN), in association with the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) and Economic History Department at the University of Barcelona, announces a Call for Papers to the African Economic History Network pre-conference for young scholars. We invite graduate students, postdocs, and early career researchers based at African universities to present their work and get extensive feedback from senior scholars in African economic history.
The workshop will be held on October 17th in Barcelona, Spain. Accepted scholars will also be invited to attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the African Economic History Network to be held October 18-19th in Barcelona.
The pre-conference workshop welcomes papers that deal with various themes in African economic history. Abstracts should be submitted through the YSD portal not later than May 10, 2019.
Ten students/scholars will be identified to present their work at the pre-conference workshop. Most travel and lodging costs will be covered by YSI.
