Hello all,
this is a quick reminder that our next webinar with Dr. Dan O'Neill will be happening this Monday, the 20th of November. We will start at 6 pm UTC (that is 7 pm CET, 1 pm EST, 10 am PST). Dan will be there for an hour (30 min presentation + 30 min discussion) and afterwards we might have a short internal discussion to collect your ideas about the future of the Sustainability Group.
You will be able to access the webinar using the following link: https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/671396885
Dan will be addressing the pressing question of how we can live well within the ecological limits of the planet and what kind of economic changes are needed to bring us there. He is an excellent speaker and will be brining along some very interesting (and controversial) ideas, which will provide a good base for stimulating discussions afterwards. So don't miss it!
We hope to see many of you on Sunday!

Biography of Dan O’Neill:
Dr. Dan O’Neill is a lecturer at the University of Leeds and his research focuses on the changes that would be needed to achieve a sustainable economy within planetary boundaries, and the relationships between resource use and human well-being. He is specifically interested in the concept of a “steady-state economy” and in recent research he has developed a system of national indicators to measure how close countries are to a steady-state economy, and what proximity to such an economy means for their social performance. He is co-author (with Rob Dietz) of the book Enough Is Enough: Building a Sustainable Economy in a World of Finite Resources, which has been made into a short film (you can find it on Youtube!).
