Research themes

We think that Economic History is a naturally multidisciplinary field within economics, and it has the potential to contribute to our understanding of long-term development. We take a very broad perspective of economic history and the way this working group fits in the overall YSI structure. If anyone’s research includes a historical and/or long-run component we would love to collaborate. For example: does your research on inequality incorporate data trends from the past 50 years? Does your research on gender and development look at how societal structures have changed since a country’s independence? Does your research on financial crises compare 2008 with the Great Depression?
