We are glad to announce the first event of the Webinar series in 18th-Century History of Political Economy. In the opening webinar, Professor Paul Cheney will present the paper "Montesquieu as Dependency Theorist? Capitalism versus Commercial Society in the Intellectual History of Political Economy". He will explore Montesquieu not as a World-Systems theorist avant la lettre, but rather alongside this body of writing about the capitalist world economy.
The webinar is open to everyone interested in the topic.
If you are not a Young Scholar and not interested in creating an YSI account, please fill this form that we will send you the zoom link 30 minutes before the webinar.
