VII ENCUENTRO DE ECONOMIA INTERNACIONAL – QUITO-ECUADOR

The VII International Economics Workshop is an academic event organized by the Department of Quantitative Economics (DEC) of the National Polytechnic School (EPN) and members of YSI. It is a biannual event that seeks to promote research in economics. It seeks to contribute to the discussion of economic problems through the presentation of research papers with an important use of theoretical and technical tools. On this occasion, the VII International Economics Workshop will be held on September 6, 7 and 8, 2023, both onsite and virtually.
This congress is aimed at researchers, professors, students, and professionals working in the field of economics and other related fields worldwide. It aims to create an academic space focused on the study, analysis, and debate of economics and its applications, so through the support of Young Thinking we want to give the opportunity to researchers who are pursuing their master's or doctoral degrees to attend from other provinces of Ecuador and other Latin American countries and join the YSI network.
The workshop will be based on:

• Keynote lectures. Five keynote lectures of 1 hour duration with a 30-minute discussion each by renowned academics / professionals.
• Refereed and regular sessions (national and foreign speakers). Papers organized in continuous or parallel sessions (depending on the number of papers received) with an individual duration of 20 minutes (including discussion and transitions) with the participation of academics/practitioners whose proposal was accepted in the public call for papers.
• Special Sessions: RENCIR researchers and YSI members.
• Round table on the central theme of the Meeting: Post COVID-19 economic recovery in Latin America.

• Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic
  Research papers will be received in PDF format and sent to the Scientific Committee as they arrive until July 24, 2023. They can be in Spanish or English, with the detail of the authors' names and affiliations in a separate file according to the format of the ordinary and refereed session specified in the registration page: https://vii-economia.epn.edu.ec/index.php/en/submission
  In addition, the EPAINO Researcher Competition will be held in two categories:
• Senior Researcher: applicants who are pursuing or have completed a master's degree or doctorate may compete.
• Junior Researcher: applicants who are pursuing or have completed an undergraduate degree may apply.
  Applicants must submit an extended abstract according to the format of the refereed session.
  In addition, the proceedings of the event will be published in the Revista Cuestiones Económicas del Banco Central del Ecuador and the best articles may be published in the journals Regional Science Police & Practice and Revista Economía Política.
