YSI Germany Hub

The third meeting of the YSI Germany Hub will take place on 26 October at the Research Institute for Sustainability from 16:00 to 19:00. YSI Hubs are a space in which YSI members, regardless of Working Group affiliation, can meet, get to know each other, and brainstorm project ideas. The meeting will be in English and is open to all YSI members based in Germany. If you are in the area, please stop by! And if you cannot join this time but would be interested in participating, please also let us know and we can add you to our Whatsapp group where we share relevant information pertaining to the life of a young scholar doing new economic thinking in Germany.

In this meeting, during the first hour, we will have a round of short presentations based on ongoing research. We will have short presentations on some big academic fights in our field (carbon pricing vs bans, and whether it is possible to direct technological progress), and on the current economic situation in Argentina. Everyone will be invited to intervene so we have an open conversation and explore avenues for potential collaboration.

During the second two hours, we will discuss organizational points pertaining to the Germany Hub, such as date and place for our new meeting, topic, among others. After the meeting, we will go or drinks and dinner.
