Webinar & Reading Group: The 2008 Global Financial Crisis as History

Dear all,

the Economic History Working group invites you to our new Webinar Series and Reading group on the topic of 2008 GFC as History. We will read the recently published book of Adam Tooze "Crashed – How a Decade of Financial Crises Changed the World" and combine it with various webinars of senior and young scholars on the topic to enable a comprehensive learning experience.

If you are interested in the project, save the date. We are starting on the 28th of August at 9 a.m. EDT with the introduction and first chapter of the book "Crashed". Please do not forget to order the book or try to make your library order it for you and start reading it, so that we start our first fruitful discussions!

Please see the Project Description and the Call for Presenters (CfP) in the attachments for more detailed information and the programme of the project. If you decide to attend it, please see the website: https://ysd.ineteconomics.org/event/5b7c578ce0806e07e1112df4

Moreover, the CfP is still open until the 24th of August, if you are interested please send an abstract of your presentation, research or paper, and the dates to our email "eh@youngscholarsinitiative.org".

We will update you very soon!
Hope to see you on the 28th of August at 9 a.m. EDT!

Warm regards on behalf of the organizers,
Nurlan
