In this breakfast roundtable, we aim to bring together young scholars (graduate students and recently finished Ph.D.) to present their current research and to reflect on the Future of Urban Research. We strongly encourage those researching local fiscal health, austerity, and impacts of macroeconomic cycles on local levels and on real estate markets to join us. Each young scholars will have a few minutes to present themselves and delineate their research, followed by comments of mentors and other participants.
ORGANIZATION: Provided that this is a joint project between the UREWG and the KEWG, we will bring together 3 key members: Prof. Renan Almeida and Aarti Reddy acting as coordinator and organizer, respectively, on behalf of the UREWG and Prof. Rafael Ribeiro, one of the coordinator of the KEWG. In addition, Prof. Mildred Warner (Cornell University) will act as a mentor.
HOW TO APPLY: Young scholars interested in joining it must send us an e-mail (urban@youngscholarsinitiative) with their affiliation and a brief description of their research.
