Research questions

  • Is economics’ methodology hindering diversity, equality, and inclusivity?
  • Can economics be powerful in understanding, explaining and, ideally, tackling the multiple crises of our time without embedding the concept of power in its analysis?
  • What is the role of economists in times of digital data?
  • What new roles could economists play?
  • With the proliferation of academic journals and a stark increase in published articles, why is it important to replicate studies in economics and how?
  • What are the implicit assumptions in Economics when it comes to designing and implementing “a just transition”? Are the concept and methodological approach robust enough to strike a balance between economic and social dimensions?
